Cancellation of treasury shares

The 16th Ordinary Shareholders’ Meeting of Mayr-Melnhof Karton AG held on April 28, 2010 has resolved on a simplified reduction of the Company’s share capital from EUR 88 million to EUR 80 million by cancellation of 2 million treasury shares in the pro rata amount of EUR 8 million of the share capital. 

The respective entry into the company register was on June 10, 2010.
With the cancellation of the treasury shares, effective as of June 17, 2010, the Company’s total holding of treasury shares will be reset to 15,260 shares. 

Subsequently, the Company’s share capital in the amount of EUR 80 million will be divided into 20 million no-par value shares.
